About Sabine
Sabine Beecher, Social Worker, SydUni, MAASW(Acc), MAARC, author, is passionate about primary prevention through teaching people the skills of self acceptance that avoid problems of low and high self esteem.
A Social Worker in private practice, she has worked in relationship counselling, family services, the Family Court and health promotion.
In 1976 Sabine began to devise, teach, shape and test her practical self acceptance skills. She learned much from all the people she was teaching, especially when they insisted that she totally replace ‘self esteem’ [it’s too remote] with ‘self acceptance’ [I can do that – show me how!]
Sabine shows ‘how’ in her down-to-earth book ‘Happiness – It’s Up To You...easy steps to self acceptance and good relationships’ (Collins Dove/Boolarong Press). and in ‘Teaching Resilience through the Self Acceptance Skills Method’.
Sabine is currently co-authoring a ‘read to’ book for children to prevent problems such as bullying and depression.
